IME Ontario is a medical clinic that provides immigration medical exams to individuals who are applying for permanent residency, a work or study permit, or a visitor visa to Canada. The clinic also offers other medical services, such as vaccinations, tuberculosis screening, and chest x-rays.

A panel physician is a medical professional who is authorized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to conduct medical exams for immigration purposes. You need to see a panel physician for your immigration medical exam because IRCC requires that all applicants undergo a medical exam to ensure that they are not a danger to public health and safety.

You will need to bring a government-issued photo ID, any medical records or prescriptions you have, and a completed copy of the IME form that you received from IRCC.

Your medical exam results will be sent directly to IRCC, and you will not receive a copy of the results. Generally, IME results are submitted to IRCC within 10 business days. However, in case of additional testing is required, it can take up to several weeks to submit your results. Therefore, the processing time for medical exam results can vary.
